The CROOKED DOLL'S HOUSE is part of the crooked furniture collection and represents a bedside-table full of surprises.
This unique piece is made of 4 wooden columns of which the 2 columns in front derive from an old psyche, a cheval glass, from the Empire style in 1810. Instead, the form of the 2 transparent columns made of epoxy resin originates from the style of "Louis Philipp I" from 1860.
The wooden legs are curved, which represents the main element of the crooked furniture collection. The entire wooden structure above the legs and columns, which is made from handcrafted chestnut and nut wood, becomes a true light-box using the switch found on one side of the furniture piece. When the light is turned on, the antique blue glass in front appears as a pleasant nocturnal light and the mirror on the top reveals a hidden image. The photographical image is a little secret as it can be seen only when the light is turned on. Otherwise it is just a mirror.
Used materials: 2 old columns of nut wood from 1810, recycled chestnut and nut wood, epoxy resin, lambda print, plexiglass, blackboard color, stopsol black pearl, blown glass, electrical system with switch
